The Foundation for Student Leadership and Success prides itself on providing quality programs and initiatives.  Below are a list of events that we provide for the Houston community.

BLACKE Summit Weekend®

BLACKE Summit Weekend (BSW) is the signature event of the Foundation for Student Leadership and Success.  The BSW is a weekend of events that are dedicated to enhancing the knowledge and leadership capacities of members of the African American Community.  The BLACKE Summit Weekend features the BLACKE Student Summit and the BLACKE Parent Summit. 
 
The BLACKE Student Summit is a three-day leadership conference designed to help facilitate the personal and professional development of African American high school students.
 
The BLACKE Parent Summit is a one-day Summit designed to encourage dialogue and promote awareness of issues affecting parents of African American high school and college students.


Key to Success Leadership Series®

The Key to Success Leadership Series is designed to encourage career investigation among middle school and high school students.  Each month the Foundation for Student Leadership and Success will partner with a different professional organization to highlight a specific career (i.e. medicine, law, education).  Students who are interested in a certain career will have the opportunity to attend a two hour workshop in which they will be exposed to young professionals who are currently working in their particular career of choice.
